Student Competition Registration

The Connecticut Entomological Society is hosting our annual student talks competition on February 21st at 7:30 pm.

We are looking for students interested in presenting on an insect topic. Students of any stage (grade school through graduate school) are welcome, and may present either a 10 minute or 5 minute talk. In the past presentations have been about research projects in all stages of development from proposed to complete, collecting trips, or reviews of particular topics. The focus of the presentation should be to inform, so your audience learns something new. After each talk there will be time for some questions.

The talks will be judged by a panel of expert members, and speakers will receive feedback afterward. The talks will be judged based on scientific content, organization, delivery, and timing. All participants will receive entomological prizes and certificates, presented in an award ceremony.
